Which Card Did You Choose?

#1 – The Empress

Are you one of those people who wants to give a thoughtful, creative gift to your loved ones rather than a gift card? Great! This is the week to do it. You have a lot to give others, and this is the perfect time to explore it. It is better to give than receive, and the Empress knows that is the way to true happiness this time of year. So go ahead and take some time to shop for others, or better yet, make something for them. If you’re not into the holidays, this may be a great week to try that new recipe and invite over a friend or loved one to share it with you. Either way, you’ll be overflowing with creative energy this week so find a way to share it with others.

#2 – Six of Pentacles

If you felt particularly thankful this Thanksgiving, now is the time to reach out to those who may not have as much to be thankful for this year. Ask for signs of how you can give of yourself the most, and then be open to what you encounter. That gift tree for charity at work? Think of the joy you’ll bring to that kid this holiday if you donate an unwrapped toy. That charity mailing you got today? If you believe in the cause, this is a great time to contribute. What you find that you can give to others, even in small ways, will come back to you many times over. Your motto for the week should be “you get what you give”, so err on the side of being generous with others this week – you won’t regret it.

#3 – The Fool

Who says you can’t start something new this time of year? Just because others are hunkering down for the winter, or taking stock of the past year, doesn’t mean you can’t move forward. Don’t let fear get in the way of life. Trust that your feeling called to that new endeavor for a reason. You don’t have to have it all figured out, and you certainly don’t have to let anyone else’s fear or judgment stop you from taking a few steps towards your dream. Your past has led you to this point so trust in yourself. You may also have a faithful friend who can provide some encouraging words if you need an extra boost. If others think you are out of your mind, so what? This is your life to live and they don’t see what you see.

#4 – Ten of Pentacles

While everyone else is out shopping til they drop, you may feel called to stay at home and recharge. Nothing wrong with enjoying your home and those in it. Our homes give us the safety and comfort we need to face life’s challenges. Do what you need to make your home really feel like home this week. If you’ve renovated or redecorated (or even moved!) lately, now is the time to really settle in and enjoy it. If your home feels a little tired, pick the room that feels the most drainingĀ and find a way to make it more enjoyable – cleaning, holiday decorating, or getting some new pictures or linens. Anything you need to make your home comfy and cozy – even if it means renovating – go for it. Being a homebody always feels better when you feel good about your home. So find a way to settle in and enjoy it this week.

I hope you enjoyed your message for the week. Peace and Light.

P.S. My camera decided it wanted to be blurry today, but these cards are from the awesome Enchanted Tarot deck by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber.
